We believe God's vision for our congregation is that

Southside be a place to . . .

KNOW Christ Through God’s Word

EXALT Christ Through Worship

SHARE Christ Through Service

GROW in Christ Through Fellowship

BECOME Like Christ In All Things

Christ values every member of His Body, and so do we.  We believe that being a Christian is more than believing . . . its also belonging.

Before Jesus ascended into heaven he told his followers to "Go into the world and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20).  Taking Jesus’ words to heart, our mission at Southside is to make disciples of Jesus Christ in our community and the surrounding area and to support this work throughout the world.  It is our desire to be a worshipping community where people grow to love and serve God’s Son, learn and share God’s Word, and live victoriously as God’s children.

God's Word teaches us that God calls, empowers, and equips every member for a ministry to help the church to fulfill its divine purpose.  It is only when we commit ourselves to serving others that we reap the greatest benefits from membership in God's family.

Towards this end we commit ourselves to be a church family where you will find support, encouragement, guidance, and accountability in your Christian walk.  With our purpose statement in clear focus we stand ready to help you discover your "spiritual gifts" and place of service to assist you in your spiritual growth.
