Welcome to Southside Christian Church-Ottawa, IL

Our congregation provides material and prayer support for a number missions foreign and domestic missions. Our support of missions is carried out through weekly offerings which are specifically earmarked for that purpose. Donations which are designated for a specific mission are forwarded in accordance with the donor's request. Missions which are regularly supported are:

"FOREIGN" MISSIONS

Fellowship of Associates of Medical Evangelism (F.A.M.E.)- F.A.M.E. is a mission devoted to building hospitals and clinics and buying mobile medical units for Christian missionaries working outside the United States.

South India Church of Christ Mission-The South India mission began in 1949 and seeks to win India for Christ through Indian leadership. Today South India has a college, hospital, and children's home.

Polish Christian Mission-The Polish Christian Mission is involved in the publication and distribution of Christian literature and cassettes.

"HOME" MISSIONS

Rock River Christian Camp-The Rock River Christian Camp provides Christian nurture and evangelism in an outdoor setting. Youth camps range from grade three through High School. Adult retreats and family camps are also offered. The camp is located at Polo, Illinois.

Illini Christian Ministries-ICM exists to serve families in crisis--both parents and children. ICM has a full range of services (including children's homes) and a state and nationwide network of resources to help families overcome crisis.

North American Christian Convention and the National Missionary Convention- These annual gatherings provide an opportunity for encouragement and education in the overall work and ministry of the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ.

EDUCATIONAL MISSIONS

Lincoln Christian College & Seminary- Lincoln Christian College and Seminary is located in Lincoln, Illinois and prepares men and women for a variety of areas of Christian service in . LCC/LCS has joint programs with neighboring universities.
